Congratulations to our very own Aged Services Young Leader for 2019 – Melissa (Mel) Williams from our Northern team at our Riverside Office!
Mel is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist based out of our Riverside office in Northern Tasmania and plays an active role in inspiring young people to work in our Sector. Mel first joined the company soon after graduating from University between 2011-2013, she left the company to broaden her experience and then returned to Care Forward in April 2016.
She has been active in promoting aged services as a career opportunity to other young people and is involved in various broader workforce initiatives.
Mel has continually demonstrated a strong commitment to this initiative with her valuable contributions.
Mel’s Team Leader says:
“Mel embodies all that the group aspires to in terms of sharing knowledge, skills and ideas and promoting the sector as a career pathway to young people. Mel also demonstrates valuable leadership skills and communicates ideas and suggestions for new initiatives as well as continuous improvement for our organisation.”
As the winner of the award, Mel will now be able to choose from either attending a national conference, the ACSA Summit in Melbourne, or Enrolment in the 2020 Aged services Emerging Leaders Program and work towards a Diploma of Leadership and Management.
